Summary:

Island Creek Associates, a professional services firm focused on Government clients requiring professional support services, seeks a Full-Time Temporary Recruiter to be a member of our corporate team in support of staffing Department of Defense efforts. The primary objective is to build and maintain a qualified candidate pipeline and recruit top talent to meet and/or exceed targets. This role requires a person that is highly motivated, with an outgoing personality and with exceptional organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be required to perform the following responsibilities:

  • Conducts full cycle recruiting, including job description creation, job posting, sourcing, screening, and referral of top candidates.
  • Responsible for managing multiple open and future requisitions simultaneously across several contracting efforts.
  • Serves as primary point of contact for candidates and hiring managers throughout the entire recruitment process.
  • Ensures all job openings are posted as required to local, state, and federal job boards.
  • Provides a professional and confident presence to job applicants and provide the applicant with all the required information promptly that will allow them to make a fully informed decision about a job opportunity.
  • Provides regular reporting and updates to managers on candidate pipeline, hiring initiatives, and metrics.
  • Always maintains a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Continuously reviews and evaluates the hiring process for needed improvements.
  • Stays up to date with new recruiting tools and methodologies to ensure Island Creek is hiring the top talent.
  • Provides creative methods to source the highest quality candidates for open positions through various recruiting methods (internet, traditional, referrals, etc.) and institute new methods.
  • Creates job offers and extends job offers to candidates.
  • Participates in team meetings (staff, recruiting, proposal development, etc.), job fairs, and other places appropriate for hiring industry personnel (local and potential travel).
  • Assists with the development and hiring of personnel related to business development and proposal needs.
  • Maintains all metrics through HR tools on the hiring process for the company and progress metrics on time to hire, source of hire, and cost per hire.
  • Maintains accurate and complete documentation in the Applicant Tracking System.
  • Processes pre-employment screening and ensures new hire information is set up in the HRIS system.
  • Completes yearly AAP reports for Applicant Tracking and Employee Reporting. Work in partnership with the vice president, human resources, and human resources generalist to ensure that the company's Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) and other hiring goals are appropriately incorporated into the process.
  • Establishes and follows corporate recruiting policies and procedures as they apply to personnel hiring to support company openings.
  • Performs other recruiting activities and support as required.

Required Education:

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Associate or bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.

Required Experience:
  • Must have at least one year or more experience recruiting for technical and professional positions in a federal contracting environment.
  • Must be a results-oriented self-starter with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience with Boolean Logic and LinkedIn preferred.
  • Experience researching, data mining, and finding unique ways to identify potential candidates.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products required.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must have organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Must have a working knowledge of HR regulations affecting work in this position EEO, OFCCP--AAP, DOL, and Wage/Hour preferred.
  • This position requires working under established deadlines and/or stressful situations.
  • Must be able to always demonstrate a high level of customer service.
  • Always maintain confidentiality.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time temporary position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday normally performed between 6am - 6pm EST, and there is a requirement to work during our core hours of 10am to 4pm. Work is to be performed remotely or possibly on-site depending on applicant's location.

Travel:

Some travel is expected for this position.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance:

This position is subject to a criminal history background check and Wants/Warrants check.
