Organizational Role:
The Business Director serves as a pivotal client interface and subject matter expert, offering both commercial and technical insights crucial for steering collaborative benchmarking projects related to Polyolefins toward success.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact representing the company to high-level clients, ranging from Senior VP to C-level management.
- Define project goals, value propositions, KPI measurements, and other requirements essential for launching successful benchmarking programs.
- Engage in marketing and business development efforts to sustain ongoing engagements and identify opportunities for program expansion.
- Lead a team of Research Analysts and Project Managers, ensuring effective management and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Maintain hands-on involvement throughout the benchmarking process, from data collection to the execution of analyses.
- Deliver compelling presentations to clients, showcasing a comprehensive understanding of the analysis and its value to their organization.
- Contribute as a key member of the Business Management Team, participating in strategic decision-making related to resource allocation and enterprise expansion.
- Innovate and promote new programs tailored to the global polyolefins industry.
Desired Qualifications:
- 15-20+ years of relevant experience in the polyolefins sector.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Petroleum, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field required; an advanced degree (MS or MBA) is desirable.
- Extensive experience in commercial aspects of the business, including grade knowledge, applications, business management, and commercial development.
- Previous roles encompassing Manufacturing, Technology, Business Planning, Business Analysis, and/or Business Management.
- Proficiency in understanding Key Performance Indicators relevant to polyolefin or petrochemical plant operations, supply chain management, and commercial operations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, and presentation skills in English.
- Intermediate or higher competency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with various statistical approaches to data analysis.
- Proven ability to multitask, meet stringent deadlines, and pay meticulous attention to detail when handling complex data sets.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to lead teams, train subordinates, and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Travel Requirements: Up to 25%, including domestic and international travel.
