Job Summary:

Reporting to the assigned department leader, this role analyzes,develops, and provides oversight for the software needs of theDistrict and manages a staff of programmers.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Works with customers on the feasibility and design of newapplications as well as new functionality for existingapplications
• Designs, develops, and maintains custom applications,integrations, and modifications
• Leads, supports, manages, supervises, and evaluates the dailyworkflow of application programming staff; hires, trains, andschedules staff as needed
• Assures that all applications meet security and usabilityguidelines
• Tests application software for accuracy and completeness based onusers' specifications
• Verifies all documentation for accuracy and completeness
• Manages and maintains an application developmentenvironment

• Leadership of all assigned programming staff

• Participates on behalf of the College in external communityorganizations and associations
• Completes all required training and professional developmentsessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
• Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles for theCollege
• Attends the workplace regularly and follows a work schedule tokeep up with the demands of the worksite

Works under the general supervision of the assigned departmentleader

Required Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and seven (7) years' working experience relatedto the essential performance requirements
• Two (2) years' experience supervising (e.g., managing, evaluatingthe performance of others)

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least one (1) year's working experience programming in C#,.NET, or Java
• At least one (1) year's working experience deploying solutionsthrough Azure and DevOps
• At least one (1) year's working experience manipulating databasesusing SQL or PL/SQL
• At least one (1) year's working experience in a Higher EducationIT environment
• Current Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert,Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert, and/or MicrosoftCertified: Azure Developer Associate certification

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of application development methods and technology
• Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonalskills
• Ability to establish and maintain effective workrelationships
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical, financial andlegal documents and records
• Ability to present information effectively to internal/externalcontacts, such as students, staff, supervisors, vendors, auditors,and board members
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
• Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicateproblems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work arevaried, and unpredictable in scope and volume.
• Ability to analyze data and provide sound recommendations basedon policy, procedure, practice, and existing regulations.
• Ability to delegate work appropriately to staff to meet Collegeand campus deliverables.
• Ability to use computer applications and enterprise systems,including proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, andpresentation software
