The assistant Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in driving operational excellence across vacuum excavation, industrial cleaning, waste removal and disposal, and hydro blasting services. With a focus on efficiency, safety, and quality, you will be responsible for, leading a team of technicians, and ensures customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will bring leadership, strategic planning, and a commitment to safety and environmental compliance. For consideration, we are seeking candidates with experience in industrial cleaning, or a similar industry.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of industrial services including vacuum excavation, cleaning, and hydro blasting.
Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency, safety, and quality.
Lead, manage, and develop a team of technicians, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with all safety rules, regulations, and environmental policies.
Manage customer relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and service delivery.
Coordinate with senior management to align operational activities with company goals.
Oversee project management, including planning, scheduling, fleet management, and execution of services.
Monitor and manage operational costs to ensure financial targets are met.
Assistance with gathering information for estimate creation.
Implement and maintain systems and procedures for tracking and reporting operational performance.
Lead initiatives for process improvement and operational excellence.
Assist in completing jobs in the field based on business needs.
Essential Requirements
5+ years of experience in operations management, ideally within the industrial services sector.
Proven track record of leading and developing successful teams.
Experience in managing financial budgets and operational performance.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, or related field a plus.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent organizational, strategic planning, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in operational, financial, and performance management.
In-depth knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.
Ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to drive continuous improvement and manage change.
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the dynamic needs of the business.
