Founded in 2009 and headquartered in Farmington Hills, Michigan, Centria Healthcare is a leading provider of home-based catastrophic injury and rehabilitation care, private duty nursing, and supportive living services. Centria Healthcare Autism Services is the largest provider of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) across the state of Michigan, with services in other states.

Position Summary

The Home Health Sales Representative is responsible for successfully marketing to case managers, hospitals, community health organizations, attorneys, and various organizations to achieve Centria Healthcare's financial and market share goals. Identify and educate potential customers and referral sources about Centria's services. Establish trusted deep relationships with referral sources and staff members. Continually prospect for new referral sources, as well as maintain current referral sources, and comply with all sales-related policies and procedures.

Success Measures

Success measures include adherence to Centria policies, flawless execution of tasks, a timely, positive customer service experience for team members, and a high level of compliance. Success also includes meeting or exceeding personal qualitative and quantitative key performance indicator (KPI) metrics.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain visibility in the community by educating and presenting to referral sources such as case managers, hospitals, community health organizations, attorneys, and various organizations.
  • Conduct in-services, presentations, educational luncheons, host and attend relevant events by introducing our services to case managers, hospitals, community health organizations, attorneys, and other referral sources.
  • Regularly consult with management on all aspects of marketing/sales activities.
  • Responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating all marketing/sales activities for company services.
  • Interact with directors and supervisors regarding maintenance of accounts.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with referral sources through ongoing assessment.
  • Provide regular feedback to management regarding sales activity and success in market development.
  • Represent the company within the healthcare community with professional decorum and respect for the patient care process.
  • Coordinate and complete on-site discharge planning when needed.
  • Design a regular schedule of visits to all referral sources.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare, or related field

Work Experience
  • At least 2 years of sales experience (Home Health experience a plus)
  • Established community relationships/connections/referrals (contacts/referrals)

Equipment and Technology Requirements
  • Working knowledge of laptop/desktop PC
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel)
  • Proficiency in G Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Google Meet)

Other Competency Requirements
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to follow written instructions
  • Ability to use computers and computer/software programs
  • Ability to communicate expressively and receptively

Knowledge and Skills
  • Excellent people and relationship skills (referral sources, patients, family members, general public)
  • Strong ability to present and effectively communicate (verbally and in writing)
  • Ability to work well independently as well as in groups
  • Enthusiastic, highly motivated personality, self-starter, genuine, empathetic, problem-solving skills
  • Knowledgeable regarding standards of practice for all services offered
  • Valid and current driver's license and evidence of automobile insurance
  • Ability to travel to multiple job sites and attend required meetings
  • Strong critical thinking and strategic sales skills

Working Conditions
  • Centria's office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM.
  • Additional time or occasional shift in schedule may be required to complete the above work or meet company objectives.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, physical requirements such as bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 30 pounds may be required. This role will require sitting most of the day as well as walking and standing periodically. This role may require close visual acuity on computer screens or monitors and the ability to analyze data and figures on a screen.
