As a Clinical Application Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in revolutionizing the way our company utilizes clinical technology applications. Your primary responsibility will be to optimize and support our suite of clinical technology applications, ensuring seamless integration and maximum efficiency. This includes spearheading new implementations, managing content and functionality, and developing comprehensive training materials.

But that's not all - you'll also have the opportunity to collaborate closely with key operations and clinical leaders to identify areas for improvement and implement innovative solutions. Your expertise in healthcare applications and related technology will be invaluable as you translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable strategies that drive real results.



JOB FUNCTIONS:


Essential Duties & Responsibilities


  • Assess how clinical, administrative, and financial roles interact with clinical technology to optimize workflows, ensuring seamless integration and efficiency in every aspect of patient care.
  • Work alongside a dedicated clinical team to analyze workflows and technical assessments of clinical applications, leveraging collective expertise to drive optimal utilization and performance.
  • Audit and train providers and clinical staff on the use of clinical technology applications, empowering them to harness the full potential of these tools to deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Provide Go Live support and post-implementation support, ensuring a seamless transition and ongoing success with newly implemented systems.
  • Maintain and create documentation of manuals and workflows, ensuring clarity and accessibility in the usage of clinical applications for all staff members.
  • Participate in resolving open support issues with clinical application vendors, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Maintain continuing education activities and actively participate in networking and user groups to stay abreast of industry technology trends, driving innovation and excellence in healthcare delivery.
  • Provide support to the Systems Software Engineer and Clinical Application Manager in maintaining data and reporting within the Nextgen System, contributing to data-driven decision-making and optimization.
  • Stay current on regulatory topics affecting our clients' deployed clinical application software portfolio, ensuring compliance and readiness for evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Assist the Training team in developing training documentation, curricula, and identifying opportunities for retraining, ensuring ongoing proficiency and skill development among staff members.
  • Support other clinical applications such as Dash, Phreesia, ScImage, and eMedApps, contributing to the seamless integration and performance optimization of the entire clinical technology ecosystem.


QUALIFICATIONS:


Education/Experience


  • Associate degree in business, computer science, or information science or equivalent experience. Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years working in the IT field, healthcare preferred but not required.
  • Nextgen EMR/PM administration experience preferred, but not required.


Skills & Abilities:


  • Ability to effectively communicate with multiple levels of staff, leaders, and Providers.
  • Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be well organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex tasks.
  • Experience working on projects as a lead or co-lead.
  • Ability to work independently and/or with a team.
  • Must be flexible to participate in other IT systems duties as needed.
