Job Description

Purpose:

The Head of Training & Development is pivotal in designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive learning programs to enhance the skills, knowledge, and capabilities of our growing workforce. They will possess strong leadership abilities, strategic thinking skills, and a passion for fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. The Head of Training & Development is a role model for leading and driving the culture of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Further the development of our people such that we meet our organizational and shareholder objectives of revenues, profit, and customer satisfaction
  • Develop with team in house proprietary leadership development curriculum including certification models for core skills
  • Able to contribute in meetings to our operations, sales, quality, and financial sides of our business
  • Lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of corporate learning programs across various modes, including instructor-led training, e-learning, virtual classroom training.
  • Collaborate with client & leadership to identify training needs, prioritize learning initiatives, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Oversee the development of corporate learning materials, including curriculum, training manuals, job aids, and multimedia resources.
  • Implement and manage learning management systems (LMS) or other technology platforms to facilitate training administration, tracking, and reporting.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of trainers & learning programs through metrics and feedback mechanisms, making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Assess the success of the training program to determine if employees have completed successfully, need additional support or if re-training needs to take place
  • Stay informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in learning and development, integrating innovative approaches into training strategies.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of learning professionals, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
  • Able to facilitate and present training in front of groups or individuals.
  • Travel to employee hubs in Orlando, FL, Phoenix, AZ, and Raleigh, NC to further above objectives (minimum of three times per year)
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in learning and development within a corporate field.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership or managerial capacity.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing successful learning programs that link employee development to organizational performance.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and training delivery techniques
  • Adaptability of delivering content to the differing roles you are working with
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business needs into actionable learning solutions.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team management, coaching, and talent development.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, derive insights, and make informed decisions to optimize learning initiatives.
  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree
  • Certifications such as CPLP (Certified Professional in Learning and Performance) or CPTD (Certified Professional in Training and Development)
  • Prior experience in pharmacy, HUB service provider, or the healthcare industry

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment and teleworking from the employee’s home address listed in their employment file. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. When telecommuting employees must have reliable internet access in order to access required systems and software associated with the position's responsibilities. The amount of time the employee is expected to work per day or pay period will not change as a result of participation in the teleworking program. Employees are responsible for the set-up of their home office environment, including physical set-up, internet connection, phone line, electricity, good lighting, comfortable temperature, furniture, etc. Employee’s teleworking space should be separate and distinct from their “home space” and allow for privacy. Raremed-PSC expects employees teleworking to be as efficient and professional as if they were in the office. The amount of time spent in office or teleworking is contingent upon the needs/priorities of Raremed-PSC and will vary based on those needs/priorities.
