Job Description

Seven Reasons Group, the group behind award winning restaurants Seven Reasons (Best New Restaurant in the Americas, Esquire Magazine, 2019), Imperfecto (One Michelin Star, 2022-2023), and theSaga (Michelin Guide, 2023) is hiring an Assistant General Manager for Seven Reasons.

The AGM will be responsible for overseeing and directing front of house operations.

Included (but not limited to these) Duties:

  • Responsible for short- and long-term planning and the management of the restaurants operations in the front of house for a fine dining establishment, with an extensive wine menu
  • Implement and maintain F&B sales/marketing programs
  • Direct and oversee development of colleagues
  • Hire, train, empower, coach and counsel, performance, and salary reviews
  • Direct the implementation of the payroll, reports, forecasts, inventory and budget
  • Resolve customer complaints as appropriate to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality
  • Implement procedures to increase guest and colleague satisfaction
  • Exercise quality control for both food and beverage
  • Maintaining standards of service and ensure their implementation
  • Performing daily walk-through to ensure full compliance with Department of Health regulations
  • Maintain communications with Director of Operations
  • Coach and counsel colleagues to reflect our service standards and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
  • Minimum 2 years in a Restaurant Manager role or higher position, 4 years preferred
  • Experience in Hotel establishment prefferred.
  • High-end food and beverage outlets experience required
  • Upscale, Dining preferred but not mandatory
  • With opening restaurant pre-opening experience preferred
  • With building teams from hourly positions through supervisor positions
  • Service oriented style with professional presentations skills
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, proven track record in high volume concept, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line
  • Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills
  • Must have a commitment to quality and safety controls and assurances
  • Experience implementing new F&B concepts
  • Experience programming, coordinating and executing events
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of wine, alcohol, and beer, Cicerone or Sommelier certification preferred
