Security Supervisor

POSITION PURPOSE:

As a Security Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the security operations within the marina premises to ensure the safety and security of all personnel, assets, and visitors. You will assist in leading a team of security officers, develop security protocols, and collaborate with other departments to maintain a secure environment. The Security Supervisor projects a professional company image through all types of interactions. As this is a fast-paced environment, must be able to work under pressure.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide guidance and support to security staff, ensuring adherence to protocols and procedures.
2. Develop and implement security procedures and protocols to safeguard the marina's assets, facilities, and personnel.
3. Conduct regular patrols to monitor activities and ensure compliance with security policies.
4. Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms, taking appropriate action as necessary.
5. Maintain a visible presence within the marina to deter unauthorized access and criminal activity.
6. Provide excellent customer service to marina patrons and visitors, addressing inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
7. Serve as a point of contact for security-related issues and inquiries, liaising with management and other departments as necessary.

1. Maintains awareness of safety issues and reports them immediately to supervisor.
2. Other duties as assigned by management.

OPERATING RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work performed and composed of a variety of different tasks, calling for use of judgment, and compliance with policies and procedures. Must be both a team player and self-starter.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1. Prior Security experience with experience is a supervisor or management role
2. Must have a positive attitude.
3. Must have highly effective communication skills and time management skills.
4. Must be able to maintain a calm, positive attitude during periods of high activity.
5. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
6. Excellent attention to detail.
7. Must be able to pass a background check.
8. Basic water safety skills
9. Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions.
10. Ability to work under pressure.
11. Must be able to work flexible hours on the needs of the property.
12. General accounting knowledge and basic understanding of financial statements.
