Job description

First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking an Assistant Security Supervisor to join the Security team at Kamehameha Industrial Center (KIC).

Compensation:

The pay range for the role is $24.00 - $31.00/hr; commensurate with experience.

Schedule:

Monday - Sunday 10:00PM - 6:00AM (hours may vary)

The ideal candidate will have:

  • High school diploma / GED or equivalent required
  • Ability to obtain Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs Guard Employee Registration ("Guard Card") within six (6) months of hire required 
  • First Aid, CPR, and AED trained; or ability to complete within six (6) months of hire required
  • Three years of experience in physical security operations, law enforcement, private security or related field required 
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills to communicate and foster cooperation from all levels of employees
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear, accurate reports, incident documentation and correspondence
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement, professionalism, and discretion in handling sensitive or confidential information 
  • Proficiency in the use of security communication equipment, including telephones, portable radios, and related systems
  • Working knowledge of computer systems, and standard business software (e.g., Office 365 suite of applications, and security system interfaces)
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including overtime, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts, based on operational needs
  • Availability to respond to on-call situations outside of regular business hours; must always maintain reliable contact information 

Under the direction of the Security Manager and KIC Security Supervisor, the Assistant Security Supervisor assists in the oversight and coordination of the physical security program at Kamehameha Industrial Center (KIC). This role will proactively support efforts to maintain a safe and secure environment for First Hawaiian Bank employees, vendors/contractors, visitors, materials, and assets on premises. The Assistant Security Supervisor will also perform routine security guard duties as required.
