Summary:
Supervises a team of security personnel, including guards. Monitor, audit, and maintain the Contract Security requirements and communication under the direction of the Security Director, along with maintaining constant communication with Building Management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Patrols, periodically, buildings and grounds of the establishment, docks, and worksite, logging information.
  • Supervises a team of security personnel.
  • Examines doors, windows, and gates to determine that they are secure.
  • Warns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
  • Watches for and reports irregularities such as fire hazards and security doors.
  • Observes departing personnel to guard against theft of company property.
  • Sounds alarm or calls police or fire department by telephone in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
  • Check DVR Video Recorders daily. Log, sign, and date on a daily per shift basis to ensure that they are displaying live pictures and recording 24/7. Responsible for reporting, recording, and communicating with the Security team if any scheduled maintenance is required, including ordering Emergency repair services and communication updates.
  • Required to conduct written Security Officer and Building Safety Audits as necessary, including Mandatory Weekly/Monthly per shift accountability. All reports are to be given to the Security Director for final review and filing.
  • Conduct several Daily Security Post Inspections throughout the course of your duties to ensure continuous compliance, Guard alertness, Reports, truck logs, and yard checks, including verification that Post equipment is functioning according to operational standards. You will provide a written report following any deficiencies.
  • Interview Director-level management, including Associate co-workers such as Yard Goat Operators, Lead Floor Supervisors, and GT Drivers periodically to ensure that our Posted Security Officers are regularly performing to standards. Any deficiencies will be reported and reflect immediate corrective action.
  • Report any suspicious activity, including any unethical behavior amongst co-workers, clients, and contractors.
  • Permits authorized persons to enter property.
  • Registers at watch stations to record time of inspection trips.
  • Records data such as property damage and unusual occurrences for management.
  • Regulates vehicle and pedestrian traffic at the plant entrance to maintain orderly flow.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly Managers 15-20 security guards and/or Supervisors. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems. May be required to work overtime as needed.
Education and/or Experience
High school education; two to five years of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least one year of Supervisory experience.

Pay Range:
$65,000-$75,000*
*The above-stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
