i9 Sports is seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Director to oversee the operational aspects of our youth sports programs in the Denver, Colorado, area. The Operations Director will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of our programs, maintaining operational excellence, and delivering exceptional experiences for participants and their families. The ideal candidate will have a passion for youth sports, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Management: Oversee all aspects of program operations, including Game Day Delegation, scheduling, venue management, equipment inventory, and participant registration, to ensure smooth and efficient program execution.
- Staff Management: Managing the weekly operations of every venue by establishing company policies for part-time staff, implementing necessary changes on a week-to-week basis, and disciplining staff as needed.
- Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a team of referees and other operational staff, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure high performance and adherence to company standards.
- Customer Experience: Drive a customer-centric approach by ensuring exceptional service delivery and addressing participant inquiries, feedback, and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality standards and best practices to maintain the integrity and consistency of i9 Sports programs, including adherence to league rules, safety protocols, and sportsmanship guidelines.
- Community Engagement: Cultivate positive relationships with local schools and community centers to promote i9 Sports programs, expand our reach, and foster partnerships that benefit the organization and the community.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously assess operational performance, solicit feedback and implement process improvements and innovation initiatives to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
- Must currently be living in the Denver area.
- A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sports Management, or a related field or a Minimum of three years of experience in operations management, preferably in the sports or recreation industry.
- Must be able to work Thursday - Monday during scheduled Seasons and Monday- Friday in the off-season
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and empower staff to achieve organizational goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric mindset and the ability to build positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of youth sports programs and a passion for promoting youth development, sportsmanship, and a healthy lifestyle.
- Solid organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications for program management, scheduling, and reporting
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends to support program activities and events.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local travel to program sites and community events.
