Class A CDL Driver

LOCAL CDL DRIVER ($26 - $29 PER HOUR DOE - FULL TIME)

Southwest Mobile Storage in Phoenix is looking an expert CDL-A driver. You are the eyes, ears and heart of our business; connecting operations and sales to provide the best service to our customers. As a Southwest Mobile Storage driver you’ll be in charge of your own driving time management. We’re a team oriented company, so there will be times when you’ll be asked to adjust your route or delivery schedule and use your own independent judgement.

Responsibilities:

• Safely transport storage ready and refurbished overseas containers to and from our main yard to customer locations in Phoenix and throughout Arizona (this position is not considered an “over-the-road” driving structure)

• Survey the customers’ property for obstruction, and advise if needed on the placement of the container
• May be asked to interact with our customers, building relationships throughout your territory
• Work with our internal office and yard staff to ensure safety, customer satisfaction and quality control

Required Qualifications:

• Must be able to drive a 10 speed manual transmission
• Monday through Friday availability 4am – 2:30pm

• 2 years’ recent CDL Class A or B experience
• Valid medical certificate and physically qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle
• At least 21 years of age
• Must possess good dexterity in shoulders, lower back and knees
• High school diploma or GED

• Authorized for employment in the United States (sponsorships not available)
• Ability to pass 10 panel drug test, thorough background screening and MVR

Preferred Skills Needed for Success:

• Prior experience with a heavy duty 10 wheel rollback winch truck with hydraulic tilt bed a plus
• Towing experience a plus
• Landoll trailer experience helpful
• Be punctual and reliable
• Have a safety oriented mind set
