About the Role
The Territory Sales Manager - Southwest is a critical "player-coach" role within the ECS sales team and a key contributor to our continued growth. This role is responsible for driving performance across the Southwest territory (Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi) by:
  • Personally managing and growing key accounts
  • Coaching, leading, and developing Account Managers assigned to the region

This is a highly visible role that combines hands-on selling, strategic account leadership, and people development. You will be consistently face-to-face with customers, primarily fire sprinkler contractors, while also identifying growth opportunities both inside and outside the fire protection industry.
At ECS, you will see the results of your work daily-through customer success, team growth, and measurable sales outcomes.
An ECS Territory Sales Manager is motivated to:
  • Manage and grow ECS's key and top accounts in the assigned territory
  • Build and deepen long-term relationships with high-value customers
  • Develop and present strategic growth plans to key accounts
  • Lead, coach, and develop Account Managers within the territory
  • Support onboarding and ongoing development of sales team members
  • Hold self and team accountable to established internal and external KPIs
  • Ensure time and resources are focused on the highest-impact activities
  • Instil ECS culture, sales subculture, and core values within the team
  • Identify short-, mid-, and long-term growth opportunities within the territory
  • Gather and report customer feedback
  • Track, report, and manage performance using CRM tools
  • Serve as an internal subject-matter expert for the Southwest region

Working Conditions & Travel
  • This is a remote position requiring a dedicated home office
  • Candidates must be based in the Houston, TX area
  • Travel of 50-70% within the Southwest territory (TX, LA, MS) is required

Experience & Skills
Required:
  • Strong leadership and coaching ability
  • High emotional intelligence (EQ) and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and decision-making skills
  • Self-motivated with a track record of producing results
  • Experience with CRM reporting and sales performance tracking

Preferred:
  • Presentation experience
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • 3+ years of relevant sales leadership experience
