Position Overview: As Chief Estimator, you'll spearhead the preconstruction process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and profitability. Your strategic pricing expertise and collaborative approach will empower the company to secure high-value projects and expand its presence in the Indianapolis market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Estimators' Champion: Coach, develop, and lead a team of estimators to achieve their full potential.
• Strategic Pricing: Lead pricing efforts, analyze proposals, and ensure projects meet revenue targets.
• Growth Catalyst: Collaborate with construction and maintenance divisions to optimize sales strategies and fuel expansion.
• Accurate Assessments: Create clear scope documents, perform thorough take-offs, and analyze project requirements.
• Value Engineering: Proactively identify cost-saving measures, enhance designs, and maximize profitability.
• Document Master: Meticulously review drawings, specifications, and all construction and maintenance documents.
• Relationship Builder: Develop and strengthen subcontractor and vendor relationships to secure the best resources.
• Trend Spotter: Maintain pricing databases and stay ahead of Indianapolis market trends.

Qualifications:

• Proven Experience: 5+ years in landscape/construction estimating, ideally with project management or field supervision background.
• Education Advantage: Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, Construction Management, or similar field is preferred.
• Software Savvy: Mastery of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Aspire, OST, or other landscape estimating software.
• Leadership & Collaboration: Excellent communication, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of commercial construction principles, landscape design, maintenance, and irrigation.
