Accounting Manager - Bookkeeper

AutoPort, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented, trustworthy Accounting Manager/Bookkeeper to join our team at our New Castle, DE location! This person will manage and oversee our financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, and daily financial entries and reconciliations.

The Bookkeeping Manager’s responsibilities include maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, assisting with budget and close processes, conducting internal audits, and maintaining accounts payable documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage general ledger.
• Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Conduct internal audits and assist with external audits.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance.
• Ensure all payments are completed on time (including accounts payable and bank deposits).
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end closing of accounts.
• Manage organizational cash flow and forecasting.

Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of 4-5+ years experience as a Accounting Manager, Bookkeeper, Controller, or similar role
• Our ideal candidate has a finance background and is familiar with bookkeeping and accounting procedures.
• Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software is a must.
• Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Strong organizational skills
