Position Title:Senior Project Manager
Position Location:This position is currently 100% remote, however candidates must be in the DMV area
Daily Responsibilities:
The functional responsibilities shall include:
- Providing Project Management support and assistance on various project activities, to include but not limited to identifying critical path for success and timely implementation of the system and maintaining and updating the project plan.
- Working with team members and management to identify system requirements.
- Conducting Fit Gap analysis to understand functional requirements and system configuration. Making recommendation on system configuration based on the results of the Fit-Gap.
- Participating in and facilitate workgroup sessions and stakeholder meetings. Tracking action items and deliverables from workgroup session and stakeholder meetings. Participating in IT Governance working groups as needed.
- Collaborating with DOL Division of Policy and Accountability to ensure system guidance parallels with DOL policy.
- Developing communication plan and products such as newsletters, weekly dashboards, slide presentations, project status reports, emails, etc. for diverse audiences.
- Executing Change Management activities that provide specific strategies, plans, actions, and steps that focus on impacted employees and work in alignment with the project deployment.
- Identifying appropriate users to participate in UAT system testing activities. Providing input and participate in testing of system changes, upgrades, and interfaces with the various HR systems implemented by DOL vendors and the Shared Service Providers, to include eOPF, On-boarding, talent acquisition modules and the time and attendance system, and the personnel system. Providing, documented feedback on UAT test results and potential resolutions to failed tests.
- Developing, updating, and maintaining training courses and materials.
- Participating in the rolling implementation of HR Systems to various stakeholders and agencies/customers.
- Developing reports and queries that meet all functional requirements and adhere to DHRIS reporting standards
- Developing properly executed functional documents in accordance with the DHRIS Configuration Management and Change Control guidelines
- Reviewing and updating guidance, templates, and customer configurations from vendor and vendor meetings
- Providing written and verbal input into internally and externally prepared documents.
- Providing team leads with a weekly status of work assignments.
- Developing and maintaining capital planning documents.
- Developing and tracking a detail needs document.
Required Years of Experience (min):
- 7 years minimum
Required Degree/Certifications:
- A bachelors degree in the related field is preferred
Required Experience:
- Experience with project management across multiple projects of various complexities
- Experience with implementing and supporting HR systems such as time and attendance, personnel/payroll, talent acquisition, and automated performance management systems.
- Experience in technology projects with competence in SDLC software development methods, as well as leading a team through the project phases.
- Experience with developing written, guidance, SOPs, reports, briefings, and presentations.
- Ability to prioritize well, communicate clearly, have a consistent track record of delivery and excellent products.
- Exhibits attention to details with excellent analytical skills.
- Experience in implementing projects on-time and on-budget
