DevOps Engineer

This role is part of a team of DevOps/IT specialists which manage the company's technology operations and the implementation of new IT systems and policies. Role:

As a DevOps Engineer at ICANotes you will be a team player that is critical to the product's success. You will be responsible for designing deployment pipelines to support product updates, identifying production issues and implementing integrations that meet our customers' needs. You will have the opportunities to apply LEAN principles to improve the production life cycle from building, testing and deployment to support.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Designing, building and maintaining automated deployment pipelines
• Automating the monitoring of system health
• Automating the management of IT infrastructure
• Deploying updates and fixes
• Providing level 2 technical support
• Investigating and resolving technical issues
• Designing procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
• Mentoring and guiding the team members

Position Requirements:

• DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role
• Problem solving attitude
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Technical expertise in cloud technologies
• Awareness of critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principles
• Understanding of high availability strategies
• Experience with designing, building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with trunk based development
• Experience working on Linux based infrastructure
• Configuration and managing databases such as MySQL
• Experience with Infrastructure cloud tools such as Terraform and Docker
• Experience with specific AWS services such as IAM, EKS, RDS, S3
• Proficient with git
• GitLab (or equivalent experience)
• Shell scripting

Education and Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience above in business technology, health care or related fields.
• AWS Certification or Solution Architecture Certification preferred
