JOB TITLE: Associate Creative Director

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: SVP, Creative Design / Executive Creative Director

EXEMPTION STATUS: EXEMPT

JOB SUMMARY: The Associate Creative Director is responsible for contributing and/or owning a role in the creative process on projects and proposals. The Associate Creative Director works with the Client Services and Production teams as well as the Executive and Senior Creative Directors to define project goals, content, messaging, and the overall look and feel, and participates in the selection and direction of creative resources assigned to projects. This position also works directly with clients to ensure that messaging and creative direction is carried throughout the project.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The responsibilities include:

Proposal Process

  • Collaborate with account team (Client Services, Production, Strategy, Design, Digital and Creative team) to review client background, project requirements and client expectations and determine project scope, project objectives and sales strategy
  • Participate in any client input sessions and follow up meetings with the client
  • Collaborate with Production, Client Services and Creative team to align creative design with budget and logistical constraints
  • Oversee the production of all or some creative components of the proposal
  • Provide the proposal team with all pertinent client and project information
  • Lead all or some presentations of creative concepts to clients

Production Process

  • Collaborate with account team (Client Services, Production, Strategy, Design, Digital and Creative team) to ensure complete understanding of creative direction, deliverables, project requirements and client expectations
  • Participate in any client input sessions and follow up meetings with the client
  • Work directly with Client Services, Production and Creative team to ensure that creative remains on target and consistent throughout production of all deliverables
  • Serve as content and creative consultant to client and to internal Design/Content team
  • Ensure that all media and video production deliverables are checked for quality and creative consistency prior to delivery to client

Post Production Process

  • Participate in post-project review with production and account teams
  • Participate in post-project review with client

Office Responsibilities

  • Be available to present to clients and prospects to promote InVision’s commitment to superior creative and strategic development and delivery
  • Complete and submit time sheets and expenses prior to communicated deadlines
  • Special projects as assigned by SVP, Creative Design/Executive Creative Director

HOURS: Regular hours (not including travel) are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (40 hours per week). However, due to the nature and scope of the position days and hours may fluctuate.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to perform job duties that may include an average amount of lifting (+ or – 25lbs.), sitting, bending, stooping and standing is required.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Moderate travel is associated with this position. Travel for InVision related business is reimbursable at the amount allotted under state & federal guidelines. An expense sheet must be submitted for reimbursement.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: This position requires a minimum of five (5) years of marketing communication creative experience, or related field. Experience working in with high-tech clients within the events industry preferred.

SALARY: The salary range for this role is from $65,000.00 to $100,000.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. This role may also be eligible for additional compensation. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, which if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for benefits including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
