Job Summary
The position provides comprehensive student support for the Maricopa Student Support Center and works collaboratively with a team to provide customer service predominantly through correspondence/communicating via technology tools. The role operates with the highest level of customer service to a diverse population of students, staff, and faculty via email, chat, and text messaging to support enrollment services, financial aid, password reset assistance, and general questions.
This position works at the Wood Street location in Phoenix. This may be a work from home position on a part-time or full-time basis.
Essential Functions
60% - Provides comprehensive correspondence about enrollment services, financial aid, and password reset assistance via email, chat, and text to prospective and current students, staff, and faculty.
20% - Collects, inputs, modifies, and verifies student information in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Student Information System (SIS), and other tools.
10% - Assists with training, quality assurance, and/or other projects pertinent to the daily operations of the Maricopa Student Support Center.
10% - Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED and one (1) year of clerical, administrative office support or related experience.
Desired Qualifications (Please list out experience by year in resume and cover letter)
A. Associate's degree or higher in an academic field from a regionally accredited institution.
B. Experience working in a higher education or technical support environment.
C. Experience working in customer service.
D. Experience with texting and instant messaging technologies
E. Experience using a Microsoft Office or Google Suite
F. Strong written communication skills
G. Bilingual (Spanish-English)
Special Working Conditions
Hours of operation 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, varied schedules within these hours.
May be required to sit for a long period of time; viewing a computer monitor
May be required to lift or carry up to 25 lbs
May be required to work evenings and weekends
May be required to work on site or at home. Technology (computer, monitors, mouse, keyboard, etc.) will be provided for work from home, but the candidate must have reliable internet. Other workspace requirements (desks, chairs, etc.) are not provided by the Maricopa Community Colleges. The candidate must have a private remote workspace.
