They can effectively handle stress/conflict and are able to multitask and manage time well. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Join Leadership Team in development, implementation and administration of Company strategies, policies, programs and services.

2. Organize, plan and prioritize work of the Center and team.

3. Participate in recruitment, hiring and training of Center staff.

4. Coach, develop, direct, supervise and evaluate work activities of optometrists, assistant center director, ophthalmic technicians, patient experience specialists, and surgical counsellors.

5. Establish and evaluate goals and objectives for Center staff and motivate for achievement.

6. Establish and manage Center schedule to accommodate patient demand.

7. Conduct fiscal operations for the Center, including basic accounting, budgets and authorizing expenditures.

8. Prepare reports to inform Leadership Team of the status of programs, services and initiatives.

9. Maintain communication and liaise between staff and other Centers to coordinate interoffice functioning.

10. Monitor, review and analyze Center activities, resources and data to improve service utilization and assess additional needs.

11. Manage organizational changes within the Center.

12. Maintain consistent compliance with Company standards.

13. Resolve staff or patient conflicts.

14. Negotiate with vendors for Company needs.

15. Facilitate in-house community-based educational programs.

16. Maintain awareness of refractive surgery industry advances and regularly update knowledge of modern business practices.

17. Maintain Center record management systems.

18. Be actively involved in all co-management initiatives.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s degree a plus. At least 5 years of relevant business experience. Experience in healthcare is preferred. Candidates will complete some on-the-job training, but should already have the required skills, knowledge and work-related experience.

Language Ability:

Fluency of the English language. Excellent oral and written comprehension and expression. Speech clarity and recognition. Active learning and listening. Ability to respond to common inquiries and provide information to patients and colleagues. Good interpersonal skills.

Math Ability:

Ability to use basic mathematical methods or formulas for business related calculations. Ability to calculate percentages and make estimates. Ability to compile, tabulate, or verify information or data.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to think critically, problem solve, use judgement and make decisions. Ability to collect data and establish facts. Ability to use logic. Ability to analyze data or information and use deductive and inductive reasoning.

Computer Skills:

Accounting Applications, Charting Software, Document Management Software, Microsoft Office Suite, Email, Calendar and Scheduling Software, Medical Software, Internet, Data Entry, Inventory Management Applications

Certificates and Licenses:

None required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manages a team of direct reports.
