The Sales Manager will oversee and lead the activities of the Sales and Project Management Department.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Hires and trains all sales department staff; including Project Managers, Supervisors, and clerical staff 
  • Organizes and oversees the schedules, territories, and performance of all Project Managers and Production Supervisors 
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive and coaches PMs to achieve KPIs and personal goals
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Provides leadership to the sales team
  • Assigns incoming leads and creates job file in CRM
  • Creates and maintains processes and procedures (SOPs) related to Sales Team
  • Sets KPIs for sales teams
  • Approval on all quotes prior to the contract being signed by the customer.  
  • Performs complete compliance on file when submitted by PM to ensure everything is in order - kicks back if items missing - assists as needed to get file up to process standards
  • Orders all material for each job to ensure onsite prior to the sub-contractor needing it
  • Schedules Sub-contractors for work needed to be completed
  • Schedules Production Supervisor and works closely with him to ensure all jobs are quality reviewed and the customer is satisfied before payment to the subcontractor 
  • Reviews and adjusts all subcontractor invoices and approves prior to payment 
  • Completes Work Order in the CRM  
  • Receives and post all customer payments and submits scope of work to accounting for all insurance claims 
  • Motivates and encourages the sales team to ensure KPI’s are met
  • Reviews and analyzes sales and operational records and reports; uses data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and identify potential new markets
  • Administrator and Expert in the CRM system used by the sales team
  • Identifies and analyzes customer preferences to properly direct sales efforts 
  • Consults with potential customers to understand their needs; identifies and suggests equipment, products, or services that will meet those needs
  • Resolves customer complaints, staffing problems, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales operations
  • Collaborates with executive leadership to develop sales quotas, KPI’s and strategie
  • Assists all PMs on a one-to-one basis with any needs to ensure win for APEX and excellent Customer Service
  • Acts as company representative at on-site builds 
  • Performs other collaborative duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Ability to coach and assist team through constant changes in fast paced environments
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration, or related field, OR
  • Comparable record of sales leadership experience required
  • At least three years of sales experience required 
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
