Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Foster a culture of excellence, creativity, and collaboration within the Catering & Events team.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies to optimize team performance, drive sales growth, and enhance client satisfaction.
  • Team Development: Provide ongoing training, coaching, and mentorship to help team members reach their full potential.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and successful event execution.
  • Performance Management: Set clear goals, monitor progress, and provide constructive feedback to support team success.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with key clients and ensure their needs are met through effective team coordination.


Essential Functions:

  • Work 45-50 hours onsite weekly, with an additional 5-10 hours spent responding to emails or calls outside of normal business hours.
  • Weekends will sometimes be required. Typical days off will typically be Saturday & Sunday, and at times may shift to Sunday & Monday.
  • Manage short and long-term planning of catering services, both on and off-premise.
  • Meet or exceed sales and profit targets for the Catering & Events department.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor the Catering & Events team to optimize the use and profitability of event spaces.
  • Collaborate with owners to develop and implement effective marketing plans.
  • Conduct weekly sales calls to solicit outside sales and maintain existing accounts.
  • Oversee accounts of repeat or high-profile clients and ensure the flawless execution of their events.
  • Create upsell opportunities and identify sources for ancillary revenue.
  • Ensure each event is delivered to the highest standards of luxury service.
  • Produce and distribute detailed BEOs & event worksheets to the production team.
  • Conduct pre and post-event reviews and handle invoicing with clients and internal departments.
  • Lead weekly sales and production meetings to communicate upcoming client needs.
  • Manage department payroll and attendance reporting.
  • Coach and counsel team members for optimum performance.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Event Management or Hospitality, with a track record of success.
  • Exceptional leadership skills to inspire and motivate a high-performing team.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong client relations and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in event technology and social media trends.
  • Ability to uphold and enforce Domenico standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and maintain discretion and confidentiality.

Qualification Standards:

  • We welcome any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Minimum High School education, College Degree preferred.


Experience:

  • Ten years or more of management experience within the Catering & Events industry.
