Our client is expanding their business development team and is in search of a dynamic and results- oriented Business Development Manager who has experience in vehicle engineering, specifically in body in white or chassis development. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with leading OEMs and Tier 1 customers in vehicle optimization and core vehicle development.
Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with the Business Development team to engage with OEMs and Tier 1 customers, focusing on vehicle attribute optimization and core vehicle development.
· Take ownership of sales responsibilities for full vehicle engineering, encompassing vehicle attribute optimization (energy/thermal management, NVH, dynamics, etc.), architectures, BIW, chassis, design, integration, builds, and testing solutions.
· Cultivate and nurture customer accounts, drive technology adoption, secure future business, and enhance profitability.
· Forge strong customer partnerships across all organizational levels, maintaining regular contact with decision makers in purchasing and engineering.
· Align company objectives with customer roadmaps, fostering a deep understanding of their evolving needs.
· Contribute to the identification and pursuit of new business opportunities.
· Develop and implement effective sales plans, holding oneself accountable for achieving/exceeding key performance metrics.
· Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure customer requirements are identified and met, coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
· Represent the company at trade shows, congresses, and exhibitions, both from a business development and staffing perspective.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering; a Bachelor of Arts in Business will be considered if accompanied by substantial business experience supporting technical competence in vehicle engineering.
· 2-5 years of relevant business development and sales experience in automotive markets
· Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
· Experience working with automotive, Tier 1, and startup customers is advantageous.
· Familiarity with vehicle engineering services is a plus.
· Proficiency in delivering detailed technical presentations to customers.
· Excellent written and verbal English skills.
· Ability to craft detailed and compelling solutions, quotations, and proposals for customers.
