TITLE:                               Manager, Corporate Relations

REPORTS TO:                  Director, Development and Corporate Relations 

LOCATION:                      Hybrid in Washington, DC


SUMMARY


The Corporate Relations Manager will work closely with the Development & Corporate Relations team on fundraising, relationship management, and content development for CHCI convenings. This Manager will oversee a portfolio of accounts and drive the growth of CHCI’s strategic partners that fund CHCI’s programs and convenings. The Manager will secure renewals of current major donors and partners through mindful and proactive stewardship. They will identify and cultivate prospects to support fundraising efforts across CHCI. The Manager will identify priorities based on insight from our partners and key stakeholders to help develop content for CHCI’s convenings on policy issues and other developments that impact the Latino/a/x community and the nation. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Partner and Sponsor Relations


  • Manage a portfolio of 100+ corporate partners.
  • Build, maintain and develop relationships with corporations, foundations, trade associations, unions, and nonprofit organizations whose mission aligns with CHCI, with the goal of raising revenue for CHCI while at the same time helping funding partners meet their goals.
  • Responsible for stewardship and renewal of major donors as well as identifying and researching prospects locally, nationally, and globally who can be cultivated to support the organization with unrestricted, programmatic, and/or event sponsorship gifts.
  • Write and oversee the timely submission of proposals, grants, and supporting documents in response to solicitation requirements from sponsors.


Sponsorship Strategy and Representation


  • Work with the team to execute the corporate engagement strategy and make recommendations that will add value to CHCI’s strategic partners, while also raising revenue for CHCI. 
  • Help develop content for CHCI convenings on policy issues and other developments that impact the Latinx community nationwide with the goal of creating awareness and raising revenue.
  • Represent CHCI and attend external engagement activities and meetings that help strengthen CHCI’s relationships with current mission partners and prospects.
  • Participate in all CHCI fundraising events (including some after normal business hours and over the weekends) to solidify funders and strategic partners’ relationships.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Required

  • 3+ minimum years of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to independently meet time-sensitive deadlines and manage multiple tasks in an efficient manner with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Be a team player and have an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Be flexible and have a positive attitude and willingness to step in where needed.
  • Commitment to the mission of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute.


Preferred Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with corporate giving trends and event sponsorship.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 360 Suite, web platforms, virtual presentation skills and Salesforce.
