Job Description

Position Summary:

ISI is looking for an experienced construction administrator/manager (CM-CA) with a background in the construction industry to provide owner's representative construction management services to a federal client in the healthcare industry. The CM-CA will support a federal client looking to manage ongoing construction projects of various sizes and complexity. CM-CA provides a wide range of analytical and administrative construction management support services to assist the client. The position will support more senior government project managers and contractor project managers, who will work as part of a more extensive design/construction program. The ability to lead, work as a team, and work independently is critical. ISI seeks an individual who communicates clearly, takes initiative, and embraces project ownership.

 

Responsibilities:

· Possess working knowledge of construction practices and call upon this knowledge to assist in implementing the various plans set forth on the project, including Quality Assurance, Safety, Time, Cost, Change, and Information Management.

· Familiar with the site operations of a general contractor and subcontractor and the process of managing a building construction operation.

· Sort, file, and track construction/project-related documentation and due outs.

· Organize and attend design/production meetings, take and distribute meeting minutes to all project stakeholders. Draft and distribute project updates and facilitate team communication.

· Use various software programs to monitor, update, and produce work products by applying computer literacy knowledge.

· Use communication, language, and software skills in various software programs to monitor, update, and produce work products and compile data and records by applying knowledge of the construction industry and computer literacy.

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Required:

  • The CM-CA shall have three (3) years of construction administration work experience.

· Work experience and completed projects shall be identified in the individual's resume to show competency to undertake a rigorous program in construction for all identified responsibilities.

· Ability to recognize terminology associated with the administration of construction activity and support CM staff with required documentation and submission of project-related data.

· Must maintain a working knowledge of major construction activity and the typical documentation and reporting requirements.

· Communication, Language, and Software Skills

· Ability to utilize various software programs to monitor, update, and produce work products by applying computer literacy knowledge.

· Ability to exercise good interpersonal skills.

· Must be a U.S. Citizen OR a legal permanent resident (green card holder) with +3 years of US work experience.

· Must be able to pass and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Preferred:

  • It is preferred, but not required, that the CM-CA possess a bachelor’s degree.
  • It is preferred, but not required, that the CM-CA possess commercial healthcare experience and strongly preferred that the CM-CA possess federal experience.
  • Knowledge of governmental contracting procedures, principles, guidelines, and public law.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning; OR
  • A high school degree or GED equivalent degree and three (3) years of construction work experience may be substituted for the degree; relevant experience will be reviewed for acceptability.

· Flexibility related to work hours as project demands arise.

· Occasionally required to move 5 – 15 pounds.

· Must remain in a stationary computer position for extended periods.

· Must walk and stand for extended periods.

Work Setting/Environment/Travel Requirements:

· Monday through Friday, Normal business hours 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

· Onsite
