Manufacturing Engineering Manager

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead and optimize our production processes. As the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring efficient and high-quality manufacturing operations. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing manufacturing strategies, improving processes, managing budgets, and collaborating cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in manufacturing engineering, and a proven track record of successful project management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians.
• Manage and allocate resources effectively, including budgets, personnel, and equipment.
• Lead process validation exercises to confirm cycle times, labor requirements, tooling, work instructions and other assumptions to ensure a smooth production ramp up.
• Oversee the implementation of new manufacturing technologies and equipment.
• Establish and optimize factory layout and floor plans for efficient workflow and resource utilization.
• Develop comprehensive manufacturing processes, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and adherence to quality standards.
• Lead the development of detailed work instructions and documentation for manufacturing processes to ensure consistency and facilitate training.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new manufacturing setups, considering cost-effectiveness and resource utilization.
• Lead the implementation of advanced manufacturing technologies and automation systems to enhance production capabilities.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to manufacturing processes, including standard operating procedures, process flowcharts, and equipment specifications.
• Conduct regular assessments of manufacturing processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
• Manage the successful implementation of the selected MES System and related hardware on the production line.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes and reduce costs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, automation, and quality control.
• Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
• Effective leadership and team management abilities.
• Solid knowledge of regulatory and safety standards in manufacturing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment.
