Job Title:
Medical Call Center Agent (Call Center Representative)
Location/Employment Type:

- Fulltime, Onsite/In Office
Pay: $19/hour (Paid Weekly!)
Start Date: May 6th
Schedule Availability:
- Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Could be asked to stay later depending on call volume (6:00pm – 7:00pm)
- Happy to discuss during preliminary interviews!
Responsibilities:
- Schedule office appointments following the steps as outlined in the policy and procedure manual.
- Troubleshoot and resolve patient issues by redirecting the phone call to the appropriate physician's office or documenting the information through the computer.
- Be knowledgeable of differences between participating and non-participating insurance.
- Example: If the physician is non-participating, inform the patient they will be responsible for payment out of pocket.
- Navigate multiple sites to check insurance eligibility (i.e. Navinet, Availity, United Healthcare Link, eTactics, etc.)
- Document all interactions to include persons contacted and pertinent phone conversation.
- Create a positive impression through effective telephone skills.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
- Must have obtained high school diploma or GED
- Previous work experience in a physician and/or medical office. Experience speaking with patients and verifying insurance coverage
- Ability to communicate with internal and external members effectively
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Has the ability to use the following software programs and/or computer skills to successfully accomplish the essential duties of this job: Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Internet Explorer), experience working with an EMR.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
