Business Development Manager – Channel Partner Manager
We are seeking a Business Development Manager, Global Channel Partner Manager. The position will work directly with the VP of Global Sales and Director of International Sales to manage our channel partners and develop new ones for a variety of solutions including national lighting detection systems, surface weather observing networks, and other environmental monitoring and alerting network solutions. Typical customers are weather and environmental monitoring companies. Duties include supporting sales material development, technical sales support, tender responses, account and program management.
Requirements:
- BS degree in Marketing, Business or related field or equivalent experience/training
- 3-5 years of sales or business development experience
- Strong written and oral communications skills; excellent presentation skills
- Experience marketing high technology products and services, including some technical expertise a plus
- Proven account management skills
- Hunter mentality to develop new potential target industries and segments
Responsibilities:
- Developing and successfully managing partnerships that will provide distribution for AEM product offerings
- Managing and expanding existing partnerships with weather companies, international resellers.
- Identifying potential partnerships, assisting the pitch and proposal team, and initiating the initial client relationships.
- Identifying key partnership opportunities within an assigned territory or industry
- Screening and responding to incoming proposals
- Researching and generating leads lists
- Generating and adhering to quarterly Territory Plans with assigned sales quotas
- Attending conferences and events in representation of AEM
- Assisting in the development of the overall strategy for Channel Partners.
- Developing deal terms and scope
- Planning any necessary integration activities with various internal groups
- Comfortable working across cross-departmental groups
- Negotiating and executing contracts
- Managing partner accounts to ensure revenue generation and timely collection
- Tracking sales activity across Salesforce and Outreach
Additional Information:
- This is a remote opportunity that can be done from anywhere in the continental United States
- International business experience and language skills preferred Mandarin, Japanese, Hindi or other Asian languages a plus
- You must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization. F-1 visa holders with Optional Practical Training (OPT) who will require H-1B status, TNs, or current H-1B visa holders will not be considered. H1-B and green card sponsorship is not available for this position
