Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Legal Secretary/Paralegal. This role is crucial in supporting our firm's operations, ensuring smooth workflow, and delivering exceptional service to our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in all aspects of legal case preparation and file management.
- Draft and proofread legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, and estate planning documents.
- Compile relevant information for clients
- Manage and organize case files, ensuring all documents are filed appropriately.
- Communicate effectively with clients, and attorneys via phone, email, and in-person meetings.
- Schedule appointments and meetings for attorneys.
- Monitor and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously to ensure deadlines are met.
- Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and document management.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information and adhere to ethical standards.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a legal setting, preferably in estate planning.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in drafting legal documents.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and legal software (e.g., WordPerfect, HotDocs).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Paralegal certification or degree in Legal Studies preferred, but not required.
