What’s the Role?

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Sales Engineer to join our dynamic North America Sales Team. The Technical Sales Engineer will play a critical role in driving revenue growth by providing technical expertise during the sales process, conducting product demonstrations, and delivering training sessions to new clients.

 

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of unified communication technologies and excellent communication skills to effectively articulate the value proposition of our software solutions to prospects and customers.

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the capabilities of our UC platform to prospective clients
  • Act as a subject matter expert on our software solutions, providing in-depth technical knowledge and answering technical questions from prospects and customers
  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and develop customized solutions to meet their needs
  • Work closely with the product development team to stay updated on product enhancements and new features, and provide feedback from the field to inform future product roadmap decisions
  • Assist with the preparation of proposals, RFP responses, and technical documentation to support the sales process
  • Deliver training sessions and workshops to onboard new clients and ensure successful implementation and adoption of our software solutions
  • Provide post-sales support and technical assistance to customers as needed, including troubleshooting technical issues and addressing product-related inquiries

 

What Skills You'll Need to Succeed?

  • Technical skills:
    • Expertise in voice, video, messaging, and conferencing technologies
    • Familiarity with SIP webRTC architecture and telecommunication infrastructure
    • Familiarity with Linux and Asterisk
    • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
    • Ability to learn new technology quickly, as well as a strong interest in doing so
    • Hands-on skills to bridge gaps in functional and technical areas / solutions
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong experience building relationships with customers
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline oriented start-up environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to details and deliver results across multiple initiatives such as driving expansion, customer satisfaction, feature adoption, and retention
  • Excellent time management and prioritizing abilities
  • Strong communication, relationship building, presentation, customer service, listening and writing skills and ability to concisely explain tricky issues and complex solutions

 

What Professional experience and Education background are Required?

  • 5+ years of technical sales engineer for customers Unified Communication companies industries. 
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a technical sales or solutions engineering role in the unified communication software industry. Experience at the following UC software editors is a real plus: biCom, Sangoma, CoreDial Phone System, Crexendo (ex Netsapiens), RingLogix, LogMeIn GoToConnect, Shoretel
  • Good knowledge of CRM such as Hubspot
  • French language skills is a plus
  • Bachelor’s level degree in Computer Science or an engineering, mathematics, or another quantitative field
  • Ability to travel as needed (incl. abroad)
