We're seeking a Head of Accounting, North America to spearhead our subsidiary's finance team, ensuring precision in financial reporting and fostering a culture of excellence. This pivotal role offers the chance to shape financial strategies, optimize processes, and lead a talented team to new heights. Your Tasks – Paint the world green

Oversee the accounting department for a $600m multi-entity, multinational subsidiary of a global company including general ledger accounting, AR, AP, and financial reporting & disclosures.
Ensure precise and timely completion of subsidiary's financial statements and disclosures in compliance with IFRS standards.
Elevate the skills of the subsidiary's accounting team through recruitment, training, and development initiatives, fostering a high-performance culture.
Align subsidiary processes and standards with group guidelines, driving efficiency and consistency across the organization.
Stay current on industry trends, accounting standards, and group policies, guiding the subsidiary through relevant changes.
Identify and rectify errors, inefficiencies, and process gaps, implementing corrective action plans promptly.
Drive process improvements and automation initiatives, leveraging lean thinking and techniques for enhancing processes.
Collaborate closely with finance, commercial, and operational teams, building strong relationships and delivering on commitments.
Support in accounting and special projects as needed, contributing to strategic initiatives and organizational growth.

Your Profile – Ready to hop on board

CPA with an active license, demonstrating expertise in accounting principles and standards.
10+ years of accounting experience, including 5+ years as a Controller or equivalent in an entity with $500m+ revenue.
Proficiency in US GAAP and extensive experience in IFRS reporting.
Familiarity in accounting and/or financial reporting within a publicly-traded companies.
Proficient with large ERP systems, ideally with Oracle Fusion experience.
Proven track record of team management, including experience with distributed teams.
Change catalyst with a focus on continuous improvement and performance optimization.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams toward shared targets.
