Basic Purpose:
- Develop, plan, evaluate, and administer employee benefit programs including health, wellness, income protection, and retirement.
- Develop, plan, implement, and administer compensation programs including salaries and incentives.
- Keep executive-level management informed of departmental progress and problems.
- Responsible for resource allocation, budget, and personnel.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, plan, evaluate, and administer employee benefits programs.
- Manage group life, health, accident, disability, and dental insurance programs.
- Administer company's paid time-off programs.
- Manage retirement programs, especially savings and investment plans.
- Coordinate employee counseling on benefits coverage.
- Act as liaison between company and insurance carriers and plan administrators.
- Plan, develop, implement, and administer compensation programs.
- Conduct job analysis/evaluation, performance review, salary administration, and design compensation programs.
- Define and deliver high-quality service to employees and leaders.
- Manage third-party administrators and service providers.
- Prepare and maintain regular and special reports.
- Ensure support of HRIS utilization and reporting.
- Manage benefits and compensation staff.
- Engage in the development and oversight of benefit and compensation program costs.
- Conduct surveys on compensation and benefit levels.
- Recommend changes and improvements to executives.
- Ensure compliance with personnel policies, programs, and practices.
- Monitor and enforce compliance requirements.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Essential Education, Skills, and Environment:
- Bachelors degree in related field plus 8 years of related work experience, including three years of compensation and benefits management experience. OR minimum of 12 years of related work experience, including three years of compensation and benefits management experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of HR/personnel practices, labor laws, and benefits regulations.
- Skills: Planning, time management, communication, decision making, presentation, organization, interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle high levels of confidentiality.
- Proficiency in PCs, word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs.
- Work environment: General office environment, no special physical demands.
