Job Description

The Corporate Chef is responsible for the purposeful innovation that drives incremental and profitable growth within the company. This includes preparing and presenting high-quality, artistically crafted sushi and other Pan-Asian dishes to customers and clients. The Corporate Chef is also responsible for creating and maintaining recipes and continuously improving upon current selections. Ability to influence and negotiate with leaders and peers is key to the success of the position.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Drive innovation & growth by developing executable, scalable and compelling venue offerings
o Re-work unprofitable & slow growth categories by partnering with the Category Sales team
o Provide clear direction on production instruction to ensure proper training and understanding of corporate production standards
o Keen focus on ongoing improvements to the rice recipe, seafood and produce quality
• Support new business initiatives by understanding the customer/client needs on seasonal Limited Time Offerings (LTO)
o Develop new categories that drive incremental sales growth that meets customer/client needs
o Deliver support to new and current business demos and product presentations
• Use a mix of data, including syndicated, internal/external shopper insights and competitive research to present the right value equation (portion + price) across the portfolio
o Qualify ingredients for use outside of Whole Food Market (WFM) with a focus on improving the value equation for the customer
• Implements company strategy and establishes short-term and long-term goals and business plans with leadership team
o Contributes strategic ideas to leadership team on needed actions

Qualifications

- 8+ years’ relevant experience within the culinary space and a culinary degree/formal training to include managerial responsibilities; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in menu development, aligning to business strategy and financial goals
- Proven track record of managing the end-to-end product development process
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in English
o Ability to use a computer and Microsoft Suite and other business related programs to drive the business
- Flexibility to travel up to 40% as required
