Location: Washington, D.C.; Hybrid after introductory period

Status: Full-time; Exempt

Reports to: Sales Operations Manager

Typical Work Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday

The Sales Operations Specialist is responsible for driving sales effectiveness through the administration and maintenance of key sales operations initiatives. This role requires an individual with strong sales operations and analytical skills who works collaboratively with the Sales team to understand and assist in executing tactics and strategies that will maximize revenue opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and optimize sales operations processes, in areas such as order management, customer success, and lead management.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities and create reports to track progress and performance.
  • Create and distribute regular reporting for Sales and management.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to understand their operational needs and help achieve their goals.
  • Assist in the day-to-day triaging and resolution of operational items including CRM performance issues. Escalate as needed.
  • Create and load data populations to improve sales opportunities and assist in continuous data hygiene initiatives.
  • Work with Sales and Marketing to perform a continuous evaluation of the contact-to-close cycle including identifying areas of opportunities and improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to operationalize the strategies and tactics that maximize sales effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Create and manage sales documentation and knowledge library (i.e., Confluence).
  • Assist in creating and documenting a sales training program including document library and videos.
  • Provide regular and ad hoc training and support to Sales personnel on operations processes.
  • Serve as a liaison in a cross functional environment to ensure cohesiveness in areas including Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Human Resources.
  • Manage and advise on the execution and success factors of sales and marketing campaigns and promotions.


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in sales operations, operations management, business development preferred.
  • Proficient in CRM software (preferably Salesforce, with Admin Certification), sales analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Advanced understanding of MS Excel including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and macros.

Compensation:

Salary is commensurate with experience. The annual salary range starts at $65,000 $80,000 with a 10% bonus.
