Summary: Communicates with customers and service personnel to schedule installations and field service work; while ensuring all necessary parts/components have been received and staged in preparation for jobs to be completed.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Communicate with customers and with service personnel to schedule installations and/or field service work.
  • Communicate with customers to verify their sites ready for field service technicians to start work.
  • Act as liaison between customers and service personnel.
  • Communicate with sales to meet their customer’s needs.
  • Support daily field service operations by:
  • Adding labor, freight, parts, and other special requests to orders.
  • Customize customer orders based on job and special requirements.
  • Schedule daily jobs for service technicians.
  • Analyze daily notes from technicians on additional parts needed and job completeness to see if more time to complete a job is necessary and communicate needs to the service manager.
  • Assist with the daily needs of service technicians.
  • Create PO’s for immediate purchases on jobs.
  • Update IFS and SmartSheet regularly to meet the needs of scheduled service.
  • Assist with the scheduling of training for Technicians by working with vendors and handling travel arrangements.
  • Ensure communication between East/West/South repair coordinators, local SSS’s, application engineers, sales engineers regarding all aspects of service jobs.
  • Perform all functions of the job safely.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.



Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 2-3 years related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills: Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. The ability to write routine reports and correspondence. The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.


Mathematical Skills: Must be able to perform basic mathematical equations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, use of whole numbers, and percentage and decimals.


Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer skills, knowledge of MS Office Software (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook), and internet software.
