Root Whole Body is seeking a
Licensed Acupuncturist who brings clinical excellence, grounded presence, and a genuine commitment to whole-person care. Our award-winning, multidisciplinary clinic serves patients navigating chronic pain, stress, complex conditions, and long-term health concerns through thoughtful, integrative natural medicine.
This role is ideal for a growth-minded clinician who is deeply patient-focused and interested not only in building a thriving practice, but being part of a holistic health and wellness environment and lifestyle.
Position Overview
The primary objective of the Acupuncturist is to build and sustain a strong, loyal patient base within Root Whole Body while delivering exceptional, relationship-centered care. The LAc will collaborate closely with other medical providers, therapists, and wellness practitioners to support patients on their journey toward whole-body health.
In addition to patient care, this role includes active participation in community outreach, education, and visibility-building efforts, supporting both individual practice growth and the broader clinic mission.
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive acupuncture-based care for acute and chronic conditions
  • Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating acupuncture, supplements, and lifestyle therapies
  • Build and retain a strong patient base through excellent care and community engagement
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide integrated, whole-body care
  • Participate in educational content, community events, and clinic marketing efforts

Personalized Patient Experience:
  • Presents a safe, professional and approachable persona toward patients and co-workers
  • Adheres to a high professional image standard in dress, appearance, language, and lifestyle
  • Performs and records initial health history, assessment and evaluation of patients
  • Performs and records all sessions performed using appropriate diagnosis, treatment and billing codes according to established guidelines
  • Diagnose, prescribe and treat patients with appropriate Chinese medicine techniques - acupuncture, cupping, moxa, acupressure as required
  • Completes personalized prescription which may include treatment plan, supplements, complementary practices and products
  • Practices the highest standard of sanitation, neatness, and visual presentation
  • Maintains treatment rooms and common space neat and stocked at all times

Growth & Retention:
  • Actively builds new patients and increases client retention
  • Contributes towards a healthy, growing and abundant clinic
  • Provides written and video content for blog, social media and livestream events
  • Establish external relationships/partnerships within the community
  • Invest in continuing self-education to ensure growth
  • Interacts cooperatively with other Root therapists and clinicians to provide a seamless guest experience and refer for services as needed
  • Attends and participates in all general, team and required meetings
  • Sets and achieves goals and targets

Qualifications
  • Doctorate or Masters of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine
  • Licensed LAc in the state of Oregon
  • 3-5+ years of clinical experience (including acute and chronic care)
  • Credentialed or credentialing with major insurance plans
  • Alignment with Root Whole Body's mission and values
