Job Description

STEWARD ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Dead Rabbit is actively seeking Stewards, including dishwashers, and cleaners, to join our dynamic kitchen team. Working under the direction of the Executive Chef, Chef de Cuisine, and Sous Chef, our Stewards play an essential role in supporting our culinary, beverage, and overall operations. These roles involves ensuring the cleanliness and organization of FOH and BOH spaces, handling dishwashing duties with efficiency, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen areas as part of our commitment to delivering innovative, contemporary, authentic, and best-in-class Irish food, beverage, and pub experiences, every single customer, every single time.


ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Ensures the cleanliness and sanitation of FOH and BOH spaces and equipment through proper washing and sanitizing methods.
  • Maintains clean and organized FOH and BOH spaces, adhering to health codes and standards.
  • Executes daily and deep cleaning tasks according to the daily cleaning schedule, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces and equipment.
  • Assists in the receiving and storage of deliveries, organizing supplies in storage areas, refrigerators, and freezers in an orderly manner.
  • Manages waste disposal and recycling in accordance with bars policies and environmental regulations.
  • Monitors cleaning supplies inventory and reports needs to the leadership, ensuring that all necessary materials are always available.
  • Collaborates with FOH and BOH teams to ensure smooth operation and communication during service times.
  • Follows all safety and sanitation policies when handling FOH and BOH equipment and ingredients to prevent cross-contamination and accidents.
  • Participates in scheduled team meetings and training sessions to stay informed about restaurant operations and to improve job skills.
  • Contributes to a positive team atmosphere, supporting fellow team members and contributing to an environment focused on excellence and mutual respect.
  • Handles additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by leadership, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to support the broader team's needs.
  • Maintains a positive, optimistic, and professional attitude and demeanor at all times throughout service.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
