SR Project Manager

Position Title: SR Project Manager (USSOUTHCOM)

General Position Description:

Mission Focused Systems Inc. (MFS) is seeking a self-motivated and versatile candidate with strong multi-tasking abilities to serve as a staff action officer and project manager in support of, and at the discretion of, the Government Operational Manager (OM) at USSOUTHCOM.  In this capacity, the candidate shall provide technical and administrative leadership for Science & Technology (S&T) related project development, execution, and evaluation; perform system-level analysis (to include threat and vulnerability analysis); provide system integration support; and provide technical assessment & evaluation to support and complement the government’s objectives.  The contractor will also serve as a contributing member of an Integrated Management Team (IMT).

Job Description:

A successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Provide project leadership, including the development of key plans and governance documents; stakeholder coordination, and status reporting.
• Assist in internal Command communication and external reporting with stakeholders and other government service providers.  Develop and maintain project websites to aid in team communication and information sharing.
• Chair and/or participate in project-related meetings and working groups to represent OM equities, collaborate on key project deliverables, and resolve critical issues and risks.
• Assist in scheduling and organizing logistical support when hosting project-related meetings, reviews, and video or teleconferences.
• Coordinate resources in support of Operational Demos and field tests.
• Assist in OM funds management, budget planning, and expenditure reporting.
• Provide input and assistance in the preparation of project briefs, composing project reports and documents, and other related materials.
• Coordinate government/service recommendations, as required, for transition and acquisition.
• Ensure project compliance with the DOD 5200 Infosec program.
• Assist in the development of partnerships with other government agencies, national laboratories, industry, academia (via Centers of Excellence), and international partners to help synchronize RDT&E activities, aid in any risk reduction, and garner additional program support.
• Provide administrative support to the S&T office, as required.
• Other duties, as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in a related field (preferred Engineering but not required)
• 7 to 10 years of experience in related field
• Project leadership experience

• Excellent writing and speaking skills
• Strong organizational abilities
• Ability to work independently and on integrated teams
• Must be a U.S CITIZEN with the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance

Desired skills:

• USSOUTHCOM Experience and/or familiarity

• Military Experience or Combatant Command staff experience
• S&T Experience (project execution, testing, assessing, etc..)
• Relationship building

Clearance Requirements:

• Active Secret Clearance required
• And/or must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance through a background investigation
