Your role in the mission:

 

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Project Scheduler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to our strict deadlines and budget. You will develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, utilizing project management tools and software.

The Project Scheduler will also acquire resources and coordinate the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. Your expertise in project planning and scheduling will be instrumental in driving the success of our projects and achieving our strategic objectives.

 

  • Develop comprehensive project plans utilizing project management tools and software.
  • Identify potential risks and constraints associated with projects and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively, ensuring smooth project execution.
  • Collaborate closely with project stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment of the project schedule with business objectives.
  • Resource and cost load integrated schedules.
  • Monitor project progress against established timelines and milestones, providing regular updates to stakeholders and senior management through detailed progress reports and presentations.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey project timelines and dependencies to team members and stakeholders.
  • Produce clear and concise schedule-related documents and reports, publishing and distributing the project schedule on a weekly basis.
  • Respond to changes in the project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Implement quality assurance processes and procedures to uphold project quality standards and deliverables, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

    What you’ll need:

    • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are desirable.
    • 10+ years of direct work experience in project planning/scheduling.
    • Experience of working with large engineering or industrial projects.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Project is mandatory, knowledge of Primavera P6 and other project management tools is a plus.
    • Experience of working in the fusion sector is desirable but not required.
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
