Position Overview:

As a Training and Development Specialist, you will play a crucial role in creating, editing, planning, and delivering virtual instruction on carrier guidelines, software, and processes to both employees and contractors. Collaborating closely with leadership, you will assess training needs and conduct instruction within a virtual classroom environment. This position will specialize in Symbility based clients, including the software itself, but is not limited to Symbility only instruction.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive virtual instruction on Symbility software to both employees and contractors.
  • Facilitate virtual training sessions on carrier guidelines, regulations, and processes.
  • Edit and update existing training materials tailored to assigned carriers, ensuring relevance and accuracy.
  • Maintain and manage a library of training materials to support ongoing learning initiatives.
  • Provide personalized 1:1 training and mentoring sessions to adjusters as required.
  • Stay abreast of emerging training methodologies, processes, and delivery techniques within the field.
  • Collaborate with the QA team and leaders to identify and close training gaps
  • Ensures that the training programs effectively address the evolving needs of the company

Requirements:

  1. Extensive experience with Symbility software, including the ability to train individuals with varying levels of expertise.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of adjusting experience, both in field and desk settings.
  3. Proven track record of developing, performing, and delivering training material within the adjusting field for at least 3 years.
  4. Strong understanding of adult learning principles and proficiency in applying current training methodologies.
  5. Ability to comprehend, interpret, and effectively deliver instruction on carrier estimating guidelines within a classroom setting.
  6. Proficiency in conducting extended classroom training sessions, including the ability to engage and captivate learners for multiple hours.
  7. Expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Zoom for creating and delivering training content.
  8. Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Customer Management Systems (CMS) and the ability to navigate them effectively.
  9. Exceptional presentation delivery and creation skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  10. Strong time management and analytical abilities to effectively manage training schedules and evaluate learning outcomes.
  11. Excellent written communication skills for internal office communications and classroom delivery.

Note:

This is a remote position, although occasional travel may be required for company events, meetings, and conferences. You will report directly to the Director of Training and collaborate closely with Quality Assurance, Operations, Information Technology, and Senior Leadership to address the training needs of the company, its employees, and its carriers in a timely and efficient manner.
