• Monday-Friday 7:00 am-5:00 pm

Our client, one of the largest line pipe distributors in the United States is looking for a reliable Outbound Manager.

Your New Role:

As an Outbound Manager you will lead the overall operation of the Shipping Department. You will manage daily operational reports, coordinate with sales on any requests, and manage shipping personnel. As an Outbound Manager you will conduct production meetings to identify and correct any issues, identify any areas of improvement, and maintain a safe working environment.

What You Will Do:

• Ensure all department equipment is in proper working condition (forklifts, pickers, crane, hand tools, etc.)
• Manages Daily operational reports to identify workload.
• Manages late orders and effectively communicates with sales of expected ship dates.
• Coordinates with Quality Control on material discrepancies and non-conforming stock material.
• Process and handles pick tickets by effectively communicating with Sales, Department Supervisors, and Quality Control.
• Supports Will-call traffic by monitoring ERP system and working with shipping to maintain load time.
• Manages loading dock space daily by communicating with Logistics and Sales.
• Effectively trains supervisors on company processes and procedures, submits training records, and identifies areas that need additional training.
• Manages shipping personnel on picking, packing, checking, and shipping processes.
• Effectively organizes and manages a team of 7 to 10 employees.

What You Need:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Speak and read English. Bilingual preferred
• Ability to read and understand charts and tables
• Basic computer skills
• Valid drivers license
• Ability to operate various equipment (industrial forklifts, over cranes, etc.)
• 5+ years of pipes, valves, and fittings experience
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings
