Local Crane/Knuckle-Boom Truck Driver

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, hours vary depending on jobs for the day, typically 6:30 AM - 4 PM. All local, south east MI deliveries of septic tanks and other products. Possible overtime and Saturdays will vary based on production needs. Starting pay is negotiable, depending on experience. Qualifications:

• Valid Class B or higher CDL, with a clean driving record required

• NCCCO or NCCER Crane certification required

• 2 years’ experience running equipment / operator experience

• Strong understanding of heavy equipment and minor maintenance

• Maintain a strict attitude towards safety and company policy

• Must be able to lift 60 lbs., move or carry objects or material

• Must be dependable

• Must be able to operate equipment in a variety of environments including but not limited to concrete, dirt, fumes, and loud noise levels

• 1+ year construction experience preferred but not required

Physical Requirements:

• Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas

• Must be able to operate machinery for prolonged periods of time

• Must have visual acuity to follow hand signals, maintain logs, and inspect and maintain machinery

Responsibilities:

As a CDL/ Boom Truck Operator you will drive the truck and operate the Boom to load and unload materials from job sites and/or deliver products

• This candidate will need to follow directions from the Foreman/Superintendent as to daily task and expectations for each specific job site/project

• Maintain vehicles for the purpose of ensuring safe operation of vehicle

• Calculates load capacity, determining weight of items to be moved in relation to the maximum capacity of crane based on manufacturers specifications

• Inspects clearances, overhead lines, and other possible obstructions to ensure there are no accidents or damage to employees, buildings, loads, or equipment

• Inspects ground conditions to ensure that the crane can be set up safely

• Maintains truck and crane for cleanliness

• Maintains and follows all panel care and maintenance

• Respond to all office requests, both verbal and electronic, in a timely manner. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions, effective communications skills

• Complies with all applicable federal, state, and company safety laws, guidelines, and best practices

• Operate commercial vehicles to include boom trucks, dump trucks, and trailers
