Associate Teacher

 Pivot Solutions is actively recruiting to fill the position(s) of Associate Teacher for one of the premier independent schools in the greater Stamford, Conneticuit Area. This position is looking for an educator with experience in teaching at a high performing Primary an/or Secondary institution.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution

Responsibilities:

Teach small group lessons, including language arts and math, under the direction of the lead teacher.  

Provide academic and emotional support to students. 

Model fairness and proper behavior.

Plan programmatic and grade level activities with the lead teacher.

Be knowledgeable of the information in each student’s Digital Learning Profile.

Demonstrate a commitment to professional growth and development.

Perform duties as assigned by the Head of Lower School/Middle School, including recess, lunch, and dismissal.

Attend LowerSchool and all-school faculty meetings, as well as workshops on staff development days held after 3:00 P.M.

Be available to work in the After School Program when meetings are not required.

Attend Parents’ Night in September/October, Open House etc.

Provide coverage for other Lower School teachers, when necessary.

Participate in school’s orientation and mentor programs.
