POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Specialist, Talent Business Partner at K2 Services, is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management and managing and maintaining the HRIS system. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. This position will report directly to the Director of Talent and will be working closely with the Specialist of Talent to ensure completion of objectives.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities of this role include, but may not be limited to, the following:
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Collects and compiles key HR metrics and data from a variety of sources, including human resource information systems (HRIS) and payroll outputs, benefits enrollment records, management and employee surveys, exit interviews, personnel records, government labor statistics, competitors' practices, and other sources.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  • Escalate issues to the Director of Talent as needed.
  • Provides HRIS support, including researching and resolving HRMS problems, unexpected results or process flaws; performing scheduled activities; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
  • Guide and/or assist with performance, benefit, and compensation review and evaluation processes.
  • Works closely with the Specialist of Talent, management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:
  • Industry knowledge, awareness and understanding of company policies and standards.
  • Strong understanding of HR protocols, guidelines, management and enforcement efforts.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning, effective training approaches and strategies.
  • Excellent instructional design, training, facilitator skills.
  • Strong leadership, mentorship and team management abilities, with a focus on fostering respect, collaboration, accountability and growth.
  • Excellent communication, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
  • Strong team leader and team player abilities, with a focus of driving results through teamwork and cross functional collaboration.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5+ years proven experience in talent, HR, organization training and development.
  • Proven experience as an HRBP or HR specialist, focusing on the areas of employee relations and performance management.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws, policies, and best practices related to employee relations.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with a focus on maintaining fairness and equity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Education / certifications:
  • Required: Bachelor's degree in business, HR, or a related field.
  • Preferred: SHRM certification or equivalent.
  • Credentials:
  • Successful track record of HR policy executive and compliance.
  • Successful track recording of training both tactical and strategic skills.
