Assistant Director of Training and Professional Development for Clinic Operations

Life University is looking for an experienced individual to serve the mission of Life University by providing leadership and management for the Life University Clinic System. They will serve collaboratively on the clinic administrative team and be responsible for the overall quality and delivery of patient care and student education in clinics, continuing development and education of staff and faculty and support for development of clinic improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible to provide support and participate in the overall implementation, promotion, and management of a vitalistic approach to patient care centered on the vertebral subluxation complex in the clinical application of chiropractic in all clinics.
2. Supports meeting overall clinic related strategic plans and goals.
3. Provides support and is a resource to the Director of Clinics and Director of Clinical Education to meet overall clinic and employee key performance objectives: assists with the review of clinic performance data; identifying and addressing areas not meeting expectations; and collaboratively taking measures to rectify operations to meet expectations or for continuous improvement.
4. Provide support in managing student intern completion of requirements, scheduling, and facilitation of data and course oversight in conjunction with the Clinic IT support staff.
5. In coordination with the Director of Clinics and Director of Clinical Education, develop and provide training for faculty and staff, and onboarding processes for new employees.
6. Provide patient care and student education as needed and as directed by the Director of Clinics.
7. Assists with clinical, operational, and business practices and decisions to ensure consistency with the LIFE model of care while ensuring the provision of safe and quality patient care and education.
8. Ensures that all aspects of patient care, patient management, and patient education are congruent with accepted LIFE chiropractic clinic standards and protocols.
9. Assist the Director of Clinics, Director of Clinical Education and Director of QA/QI, ensuring the culture of quality assurance and continuous improvement is implemented in the clinics and all applicable laws and accreditation standards are met.
10. Sets and maintains a standard of professionalism in chiropractic care and student education.
11. In coordination with the administrative staff of the clinics, responsible for attracting, developing and retaining clinic faculty and staff of the highest caliber.
12. Maintains and continues to develop personal clinical expertise.
13. Participates on college committees and task forces as assigned.
14. Collaborates with the Director of Clinical Education, as needed, to ensure congruency of didactic and clinical meta-competency assessment, smooth transition of student intern assignments, and other educational components being supported in the delivery of patient care.

Requirements

1. Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from an accredited program.
2. Current license in good standing in the state of Georgia or Georgia licensure eligible.
3. Minimum of one (1) year of mid-level administrative experience in field of provider and support staff management at a healthcare entity.
4. Minimum of one (1) year experience working in higher education.
