Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a strategic and visionary leader to fill the role of HR People and Development Manager to play a key role in aligning our HR initiatives and functions with business objectives and business needs across the company, focus on making our organization the best place to work and ensure employees are delivering the most value. This position will require a strong background in the HR Business Partner function, learning and development and leadership, particularly with manufacturing operations. Must have a passion for driving initiatives through to execution that fosters a positive and engaging work environment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic HR Business Partner Manager Function
    • Partner closely with corporate and manufacturing leaders to develop and execute HR initiatives that support our vision of being the best place to work.
    • Analyze trends and data to drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention, and satisfaction across corporate and manufacturing functions.
    • Develop and implement programs to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, fostering a culture of belonging and respect.
    • Lead efforts to continuously improve the employee experience, from onboarding to career development to offboarding.
    • Champion initiatives to recognize and reward employee contributions and celebrate achievements.
    • Other functions: handles disciplinary actions, assists with succession planning, manage HR Business Partners, provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
    • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance, partnering with the legal department as needed/required.
  2. Learning and Development Manager Function
    • Design and implement innovative learning and development programs that empower employees to reach their full potential and contribute to our success.
    • Maintain metrics to evaluate and assess training needs and develop or adjust strategies to address skill gaps, promote career development, and support succession planning.
    • Create opportunities for continuous learning and growth through mentorship programs, leadership development initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration.
    • Foster a culture of continuous feedback and development, encouraging managers and employees to engage in ongoing conversations.
    • Work with HR Manager and leaders to create career ladder progression.
    • Manage and provide guidance to the Learning and Development specialists to advance training programs for operations employees, from new employee orientation through career ladder progression.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to maintain composure in all situations and able to maintain a high level of confidentiality, diplomacy, and trust.
  • Ability to remain flexible with multiple routine changes and interruptions.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for PAI in the US.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; SHRM certification preferred, or the ability to obtain certifications within one year of employment.
  • 12+ years of experience in HR, 5+ years in a leadership role, with a strong background in the HR business partner function, learning and development, and manufacturing operations, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven track record of driving initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
  • Experience developing and implementing innovative learning and development programs that support employee growth and organizational success.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and influence others at all levels of the organization.
  • Passion for creating a positive and inclusive work environment where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and a willingness to challenge the status quo to achieve our goal of being the best place to work.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to adapt in a high stress environment.
