Solve IT Strategies is looking for a Controller. This role is located at Washington, DC.Hybrid

The Main Responsibilities of a person are:

• Manage bank accounts, reconciliations, and credit card payments.
• Manage insurance applications and software renewals.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and year-end closing documents.
• Prepare monthly invoicing, including FAR-compliant invoices for federal clients.
• Manage collections.
• Set up project budgets for labor, consultants, and expenses.
• Set up and manage data in Unanet system.
• Maintain revenue projections.
• Manage tax reporting documents and coordinate with outside accountant.
• Complete quarterly tax returns
• Manage IRS tax amendments (employee retention tax credits, 179D.
• Manage federal regulation compliance.
• Manage check requests.
• Process bi-monthly payroll and taxes.
• Manage monthly expense budget.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

· CPA or MBA in finance is highly desirable.

· 5 years minimum accounting experience in the Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC) industry required.

· Proficiency in Unanet, or similar accounting and project management system and willingness to learn Unanet.

· Enthusiastic learner who enjoys taking on challenges and offering solutions.

· Effective communicator and team player.
