Plant Operations Maintenance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Operations Maintenance Manager for our food processing plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of maintenance operations to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of equipment and facilities. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Developing compliance (State, Local, Federal, FDA, OSHA)
- Building (Ammonia, Boiler, Refrigeration, Grounds, Electrical)
- Equipment
- Water
- Assisting and supporting CAPEX Projects
- Developing PM workflow (Planning, Execution, Documentation)
- 5S Workshop, Storage Rack Environment, Boiler Room, Ammonia Room, Motor Storage Room
- Training & Behavior Program Development for all Maintenance Staff
- Maintenance Competence
- Ammonia/Freon Operation
- Boiler Operation
- Electrical
- HVAC Systems
- PLC Programming
- Equipment Champions (Slicers / Dicer, Etc)
- Handy-Man Service
- Encouraging collaboration across all Maintenance Staff with other departments including continuous improvement
- Maintenance Schedule workflow, Documentation, and allocation
- Leading Maintenance Team development and Improved Health and Safety Plan Support
- Developing Maintenance Coverage for 24 Hours / 7 Days a week
- Ammonia/Freon Operation
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related field and/or relevant experience in related field of Maintenance Management.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in a food processing or manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems as well as boiler operation and maintenance.
• Minimum of 2 years leading a team
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments. (Bilingual- Spanish is a plus.)
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Familiarity with maintenance management software and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus.
