You're an experienced and results-driven Operations & Maintenance Technician with a proven track record in overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, and repair of complex systems and facilities. With a deep understanding of mechanical, electrical, and operational systems, you excel at leading teams to ensure optimal performance, safety, and compliance. Your strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple projects make you a key driver of operational efficiency and success.

What You WILL DO
In the role of Operations & Maintenance Technician, your duties will include:

  • Directs work groups and/or units engaged in activities associated with the planning, construction, maintenance, operation, repair, renovation, alteration, and demolition of buildings, structures, equipment, machinery, and other facilities.

  • Obtains, evaluates and may negotiate bids from outside engineering, architectural, and construction firms.

  • Establishes schedules and budgetary controls, allocates expenditures, and oversees the coordination of major construction activities requiring integration with engineering, architectural, contracts and government agencies.

  • Ensures compliance with contract specifications, insurance requirements, and local building codes.

  • Reviews and approves architectural /engineering drawings.

  • Participates in the department strategic planning process and ensures appropriate skills are available when needed.

  • Develops and maintains relationships with other engineering organizations to keep abreast of developments in allied fields.

  • Interprets, executes and recommends modifications to organizational policies and corporate initiatives.

  • Establishes and maintains quality systems and instills values and ethics.

  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

This is a contingent position based upon contract award and will be located OCONUS

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires a US SECRET security clearance

  • Certified in at least one of the trades (plumbing, electrical, HVACR, etc) (Electrical preferred).

  • Five (5)+ years' experience with general maintenance, operations, and repair including and not limited too: HVAC, plumbing, sewage systems, water system (non-potable), generator, electrical, overall base operations, any material or equipment on site and site infrastructure.

  • Experience in identifying, ordering, supplying, stocking, and maintaining a consistent inventory of repair and service items that includes critical spares.

  • Experience in maintaining a reasonable number of items in stock as a part of the necessary OM&R parts and supplies.
